Rado at BASELWORLD 2011

At the world’s largest watch and jewellery fair, being held in Basel from 24 to 31 March, Rado is entertaining visitors to its stand with a mesmerising splash of colour.

Ultra-modern, freestanding glass display cases, illuminated from below with changing colours, simultaneously draw and soothe the eye. Contrasting with the cases’ angular form are swirling designs around their sides, reminding of the distinctive round and harmonious lines of Rado watch shapes. These columns are fitting pedestals for the presentation of two spectacular 2011 novelties, the Rado True Thinline, the world’s thinnest ceramic watch, and the Rado D-Star. A special exhibition on the high-tech ceramics pioneered by Rado is making its BASELWORLD debut on the spacious stand. This gives a unique “behind-the-scenes” tour of the approach Rado constantly applies to watchmaking, pioneering new processes and technologies to obtain unique results.
